FlowingFuture: Energy storages for learning and teaching

"Tell me, and I will forget. Show me, and I may keep it. Let me do it, and I will be able to." Based on these words of the Chinese philosopher Confucius, demonstrators and a hands-on workshop around energy storage and climate protection is being created in the project "FlowingFuture". The teaching concept, which focuses on flow battery systems, will be used in a subsequent pilot phase at schools and universities throughout Germany – free of charge and open to the public.

In terms of promoting the next generation, "FlowingFuture" pursues two objectives: On the one hand, pupils and students will be familiarized with the opportunities and challenges of energy technology at an early stage, receive interdisciplinary training on real flow battery systems and thus be sensitized for the energy transition. On the other hand, the participants of the workshops are to be activated as multipliers and motivated to implement technical and behavior-based measures in the context of the energy transition.

The "FlowingFuture" project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection as part of the National Climate Protection Initiative under the code 67KF0157 based on a resolution of the German Bundestag.
