UMSICHT Academy

In addition to research and development work, Fraunhofer UMSICHT has also been active for many years in the field of further academic education and the qualification of specialists and managers. The UMSICHT Academy department bundles comprehensive competencies and many years of experience in the fields of scientific further academic education and human resources development. On the basis of this expertise, the department develops scientific courses for professionals and advises companies and institutions with regard to the development of further academic education and human resources development concepts.

Interdisciplinary Distance Learning Program in Environmental Sciences infernum

Since 2000, Fraunhofer UMSICHT, in cooperation with the FernUniversität in Hagen, has been offering the Interdisciplinary Distance Learning Program in Environmental Sciences infernum, an interdisciplinary course of study which, in parallel to family and career, enables students to undertake further academic education in the fields of environment and sustainability. The central office of the Fraunhofer UMSICHT program is located in the UMSICHT Academy department.

Consulting services for companies and institutions

The competencies in scientific further academic education are supplemented by well-founded expertise and more than twenty years of experience in the field of human resources development. The UMSICHT Academy department makes this spectrum of competence and experience available in the form of consulting services. We develop further academic education and human resources development concepts for companies and institutions and advise them with regard to the qualification and further development of specialists and managers, training, recruitment, and the promotion of junior staff.
