BAU trade fair

At the BAU  trade fair, Fraunhofer UMSICHT is presenting its expertise in the field of fungal materials as a biogenic material source. Examples of applications illustrate where materials made from fungal mycelium can be used. Under the motto “FungiFacturing Art”, the scientists are also exhibiting various artistic exhibits made from mycelium material inside a cube. A lecture “Behind the artist” and a hands-on workshop “Meet the artist: Mushrooms as a building material – mycelium as a pioneer in a sustainable future?” will give visitors to the fair a better understanding of the topic.

By the way, we can be found at the booth of the Fraunhofer Building Innovation Alliance. Under the motto “Mission for the future of building affordable.sustainable.safe”, it presents innovations in these three important transformation areas of construction: sustainability, productivity and resilience. The exhibits will be on display in and around a two-storey “Innovation Cube” in hall C2, stand 528. The “Innovation Cube” symbolizes a building and is used to demonstrate current intelligent solutions from the building envelope to the interior.
